New York-based composer Sxip Shirey has produced an intricately layered vocal soundtrack based on Tamsin Collison’s What Dreams May Come, which was in turn based on Neil Gaiman’s The Sweeper of Dreams.
He has assigned 3 mezzos as “the dream” and 2 tenors to play the role of “the sleeper”.
Sxip would like to thank Trevor Wilson, Eliza McKelway, and Alice Tolan-Mee for their help workshopping the piece in Brooklyn, New York and the Carris Jones, Imogen Garner, Anita Mackenzie Mills, Ronan Busfield and Alexander Anderson-Hall for performing the work for the recording in London.
